Cú Chulainn Coaster, The

The Cú Chulainn Coaster is a wooden roller coaster currently under construction at Tayto Park, located in Ashbourne, County Meath, Ireland. Manufactured by The Gravity Group, the wooden coaster will be the first in Europe to feature an inversion upon its opening in summer 2015.

The Cú Chulainn Coaster was officially announced by Tayto Park via a press release issued on 19th February, 2015, although groundwork and construction had begun long before in August 2014.

Ohio based company The Gravity Group were selected to build the coaster, marking their first installation of a wooden coaster with an inversion in Europe; and only their second ever after Hades 360.

Construction is expected to be completed in late May 2015, in preparation for the scheduled opening of the coaster in the summer.

The coaster comes as part of a large €26 million investment into Tayto Park, which also includes 7 other new attractions opening in 2015.
